Job summary

Qualifications

• Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.
• Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (defined as completion of 48 semester hours) of college course work.
• Possess an associate's (or higher) degree; or meet a rigorous standard of quality via THEA assessment verifying knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals, by working with small groups of children or an individual child
• Assists teacher(s) in the enforcement of classroom management and behavioral plans, creating an environment that is appropriate for learning.
• Assists with supervising students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal, special events, and programs.
• Assists teacher(s) in the preparation of ARD/IEP paperwork and data entry for special education reports.
• Assists teacher(s) with planning, preparation and implementation of differentiated instruction for individuals and groups.
• Performs other campus duties as assigned.
