Job summary

Weaver Lake Elementary in Maple Grove, Minnesota seeks an Educational Support Professional to assist the special education teacher in 1:1 and small-group settings. The role is part-time, six hours per day during the school year, and requires HQ by start date per Minnesota standards.

Responsibilities include implementing instructional plans, data collection, materials preparation, and attendance at team meetings. Strong collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• HQ by start date as required by the Minnesota Department of Education.
• Ability to lift and attend to physical needs of students.
• Experience working in or with special education programs is beneficial.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individual education plans and behavioral management.
• Support students individually or in small groups.
• Collect and report observational data to the supervising teacher.
• Prepare and maintain educational materials and equipment.
• Attend staffings, conferences and required meetings.
• Complete forms and data related to students as directed.
