Job summary

Aspen Ridge Elementary in Maple Grove, Minnesota is seeking an Educational Support Professional (1:1) to assist a student with a special education program under the supervision of a special education teacher. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• HQ by start date per Minnesota Department of Education.
• Two years of college (60 credits) or an associate's degree or passing ParaPro/ParaEducator/ParaPathways.
• District will pay for the assessment.
• Ability to work with children and staff; physical capability to assist with physical needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing students' special education instructional plans.
• Assist in implementation of individual plans across all program settings.
• Collect observational data and report to supervising teacher.
• Prepare and maintain educational materials and equipment.
• Attend staffings, conferences and meetings as requested.
• Complete educational forms and data entry as directed by the teacher.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the team and approved by the Special Education Coordinator.
• Participate in district training prior to and during employment.
