Job summary

Osseo Middle School in Osseo, MN is seeking an Educational Support Professional - Special Education (Highly Qualified) to support students and assist the special education teacher in daily classroom operations.

Responsibilities include implementing instructional plans, collecting observational data, preparing materials, attending staffings, and supporting district goals for inclusive education. Minimum HQ requirements and flexibility for part-time schedule are noted.

Qualifications

• HQ by start date as required by Minnesota Dept. of Education.
• Ability to lift and attend to physical needs of students as required.
• Experience or training in special education settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the students' special education instructional plan(s).
• Assist in implementing and following through on individual plans in all settings.
• Collect observational data about assigned student(s) and report to supervising teacher.
• Assist in preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment.
• Attend staffings, conferences and any other meetings as requested by supervising teacher.
• Complete educational forms, reports and other student data as directed.
• Other duties deemed necessary by the team and approved by the Special Education Coordinator.
• Participate in district training program prior to and during employment.
