Job summary

gobravvo is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile elementary student during school hours and transportation.

The role involves managing G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and seizure monitoring in a pediatric school setting, collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals to ensure the student’s well-being and educational participation.

Qualifications

• Current and active LPN license in Georgia.
• Experience with G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and seizure monitoring.
• Comfortable providing care to a fully dependent pediatric patient.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• School-based or pediatric nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver continuous 1:1 nursing care to a medically fragile student.
• Monitor and manage G-tube feedings, ensuring safe nutrition delivery.
• Provide tracheostomy care, including suctioning and airway monitoring.
• Observe for seizure activity and implement appropriate response protocols.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility due to full student dependence.
• Transport the student to and from home each day, with time compensated.
• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and healthcare professionals to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and student health status during school and transit hours.
