Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms or standalone settings.

You will work one-on-one with a student to meet IEP goals, implement behavior support plans, and document progress as part of a multidisciplinary team. Training is provided and opportunities for growth exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with a student to meet IEP goals, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors and progress toward goals.
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide personal care support and communicate effectively with parents.
