Job summary

The Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is hiring a Full-time Personal Care Assistant/1:1 Paraeducator for the school year. The role provides instructional, behavioral and personal care support per the student’s IEP, under teacher supervision and the designated program supervisor.

Schedule is 6.50 hours/day, Monday–Friday, 185 days/year with a starting hourly rate of $20.00 and potential annual incentive up to $5,000.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PA Paraeducator Credential or willingness to complete program within 6 months.
• Alternative: 48 post secondary credits or an associate degree in any field.
• Willing to complete 20 hours of staff development each school year and provide evidence of activity.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support as outlined in the student’s IEP.
• Under the supervision of the classroom teacher and program supervisor.
• Assist with lifting and physical needs as required by students.
