Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / 1:1 Paraeducator (School Age) to support instructional, behavioral and personal care needs outlined in the student’s IEP. The assistant works under the classroom teacher and program supervisor.

This full-time role runs 7:30 am–2:30 pm, Monday–Friday, 185 days per year, with a starting salary of $20.00 per hour and potential earnings up to $5,000 more this school year.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
• Must meet one of four qualifications: PDE credential, 48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or an approved standard of quality within 6 months.
• Provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development activities related to position each school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support per IEP.
• Directed by classroom teacher and under supervision of program supervisor.
• Assignment for a school year with possible termination based on student needs.
