Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / 1:1 Paraeducator for school-age students. The role provides instructional, behavioral and personal care support under a classroom teacher and program supervisor.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus PDE credential or equivalent within 6 months, or other approved qualifications. 20 hours of staff development per year are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; PDE credential or equivalent within 6 months.
• 2 years of postsecondary study or higher degree acceptable.
• Associate degree or higher preferred; transcript required.
• Must complete 20 hours of staff development each school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support as per IEP.
• Work under supervision of teacher and program supervisor.
• Assist in data entry, internet/email use, and basic word processing.
• Assist students in safe mobility and during crisis Prevention Institute protocols as directed.
