Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 in Pennsylvania is seeking a Personal Care Assistant / 1:1 Paraeducator for school-age students. You will provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support as outlined in the student’s IEP, under the classroom teacher’s direction and the program supervisor’s general supervision.

This full-time position is 7 hours per day, 185 days per year, with a starting salary of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education required: high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet PDE credential or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• Alternative: 2 years postsecondary study with 48 credits.
• Associate degree or higher acceptable with documentation.
• Provide evidence of 20 hours of staff development annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional, behavioral and personal care support per IEP.
• Follow directions under classroom teacher and program supervisor.
• Assist with lifting and safety procedures for students.
• Maintain required staff development hours (20 per year).
