Job summary

Mead School District in Mead, Washington seeks a Paraeducator 1:1 Student Support to provide individualized assistance to a student with an IEP. Under certificated staff direction, you will support access to instruction, communication, behavior, and daily living skills throughout the school day.

This 6.03-hour-per-day position runs M, T, TH, F 8:50 am–3:30 pm (Wed 9:30 am–3:30 pm). Starting date is immediately; salary ranges from $19.13 to $22.16 per hour plus benefits in the Mead district

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current first aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
• Two years of college coursework or an associate degree or equivalent paraeducator credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized support to the assigned student across classrooms and settings.
• Support instruction by reinforcing lessons and assisting with accommodations and materials.
• Follow IEP/health/behavior/safety plans and procedures as directed by staff.
• Promote student independence and inclusion while maintaining dignity.
• Observe, document data, and communicate relevant information to staff.
