Job summary

ChanceLight, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Aide 1:1 to support students in Grades K-12 within an award-winning Alternative Education program. You will provide direct, individualized supervision, implement IEP directives, and partner with teachers to promote academic and behavioral success on-site and in community settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and a commitment to helping at-risk students reach their full potential in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with basic skills test.
• An associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential and crisis management training encouraged.
• Experience instructing and supporting children in alternative settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, 1:1 instructional support to assigned student(s).
• Assist with implementing IEP goals in classroom and community settings.
• Monitor progress and communicate with teachers and families.
• Help maintain a safe, supportive, and high-achieving learning environment.
• Document behaviors, progress, and outcomes for staff reports.
• Collaborate with teachers to tailor instruction to student needs.
