Job summary

Cosmo 1:1, formerly ClassUp, is seeking experienced tutors to deliver 1:1 ELA instruction to K-12 students in North America through a flexible, independent contractor role. Tutors set their own schedule and meet with students for 50-minute sessions weekly.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years teaching K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL, with knowledge of ELA standards. A reliable computer, fast internet, and availability 3-10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL in a formal setting.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards is required.
• A reliable internet connection and a suitable device are essential.
• Must be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Able to commit to at least 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for students.
• Update availability in the Cosmo App promptly.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and abilities.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students professionally.
• Attend all classes on time from a quiet, professional setting.
• Collaborate with Cosmo staff as needed.
