Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 is seeking seasoned educators to join our online tutoring platform. You’ll teach 50-minute 1-on-1 sessions to North America-based students, with a flexible schedule you set and a professional, welcoming learning environment.

This is an independent contractor role paying $20 USD per class, with a minimum commitment of 6 months and at least 20 hours per week. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of K-12 ELA teaching experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required for the role.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards is expected.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a Windows or Mac PC with a suitable processor are required.
• Available 3-10 PM EST Monday–Friday or weekends; minimum 20 hours weekly; must be in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff
