Job summary

Olympia School District seeks a Paraeducator for the Developmental Learning Classroom to assist certificated staff with implementing IEP goals and related plans across instructional settings. This 6.0 hpd position runs Monday–Friday, with SEBB benefits and DRS/TERS plans eligibility.

You will create materials, collect progress data, maintain student records, supervise students, and participate in team trainings to strengthen skills and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education/experience as described: Parapro assessment or training program, or qualifying college credits or degree.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance required.
• Experience with school-age children in special education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with IEP goal implementation, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, and related activities.
• Create educational materials to support student progress toward IEP goals.
• Collect and communicate data to help evaluate student progress.
• Maintain student files and records for program development.
• Monitor students across settings to ensure a safe, positive learning environment.
