Job summary

Olympia School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist certificated staff in implementing IEP plans and supporting students with special needs. This 6.0-hour per day, 180-day position runs September through January with paid holidays and health benefits.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional plans, creating materials, collecting progress data, and maintaining confidentiality. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant assessments or credits, plus

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent and relevant assessment/credits.
• Criminal fingerprint clearance required.
• Experience with school-age children who qualify for special education.
• Willingness to complete required trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with IEP plan implementation and data collection.
• Create educational materials to support student progress toward IEP goals.
• Maintain student records and confidentiality.
• Provide health support including first aid and personal hygiene assistance.
• Collaborate with staff to adapt curricula and schedule accommodations.
