Job summary

Olympia School District is seeking a paraeducator to assist teachers with instruction and classroom operations in a 5.26-hour daily schedule. You will support lesson delivery, maintain student records and materials, and help ensure a safe, organized learning environment for students.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, and one of the specified assessments or college credits, plus experience with school-age children. Benefits include SEBB medical/dental/vision and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent, and one of ETS Parapro, Master Teacher Paraeducator program, or 72 credits (100 level+) OR an Associate's degree.
• Experience with school-age children (paid or volunteer).
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance.
• First Aid and CPR training may be required.
• Willingness to gain Type II License or Food Handlers Permit.
• Right Response Certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers to implement lesson plans.
• Maintain classroom equipment and student files for materials access.
• Monitor students to provide a safe learning environment.
• Perform basic clerical tasks for teacher support.
