Job summary

Olympia School District seeks a 1:1 paraeducator to support a high school student with individualized needs. This 3.90 hpd continuing role runs weekdays with specific start times and travel between ORLA and New Market Skills Center, offering SEBB benefits and paid holidays.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent and one of several credential options, plus First Aid/CPR and criminal fingerprint clearance. Collaboration with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic clerical tasks and office equipment operation.
• Data collection to support IEP progress.
• First aid and CPR training may be required.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and communications.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and staff to support students.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with IEP-related plans and goals.
• Create educational materials to support student progress toward IEP goals.
• Collect data to evaluate student progress.
• Provide health care support and assist with hygiene as needed.
• Maintain student files to support appropriate educational programs.
• Monitor student safety and implement necessary accommodations.
