Job summary

The Olympia School District is seeking a 1:1 Student Specific Paraeducator to assist in supervised instruction and IEP-related activities for individual students.

Responsibilities include collaborating with certificated staff, preparing learning materials, collecting progress data, administering basic first aid, and maintaining student confidentiality, aligned with the district's CBA and benefit program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of one of the specified assessments or college credits.
• Ability to create visual supports and instructional materials.
• Strong collaboration and communication with staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Willingness to participate in trainings and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff with implementing IEP-related plans and goals.
• Aid in creating instructional materials to support student progress.
• Collect and communicate data to monitor student progress.
• Administer first aid and address health care needs when required.
• Maintain student files and ensure appropriate documentation.
• Monitor safety and adapt curriculum and materials as needed.
