Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. seeks a 1:1 Aide to support a student under an IEP in diverse educational settings. You will provide customized behavior support and help teach life skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student per their IEP with customized behavior support and life-skill instruction.
• Work one on one with the student to meet IEP goals and provide necessary accommodations/modifications.
• Assist in developing and modifying behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior plans and track data on behaviors, progress, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support strategies and de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Maintain safety through crisis management and, if necessary, physical restraint.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide personal care support as needed and communicate with parents.
