Job summary

Mode.Inc, a global technology company, seeks a General Manager for the Upcoming Apps Portfolio to own a portfolio of mobile applications acquired through M&A, each generating up to $500,000 in annual EBITDA.

The GM will guide apps from transition through stabilization, engagement, monetization, and operating efficiency, determining the right path: grow, maintain, reposition, consolidate, or graduate as Mode scales beyond $500k.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of consumer mobile apps and digital business models.
• Experience with monetization, subscriptions, advertising, and user acquisition.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• AI-native execution mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, operating performance, and financial results of the Incubation Apps portfolio, including budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and performance targets.
• Assume ownership of newly acquired apps following close; rapidly assess the product, users, revenue model, technology, costs, team needs, and market opportunity.
• Develop focused post-acquisition operating plans and leverage Mode's technology, distribution, monetization capabilities, shared services, partnerships, and infrastructure to accelerate value creation.
• Evaluate new apps under consideration and identify the highest-potential opportunities for investment and growth.
