Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer based in Turkey to join a high-impact security engineering environment focused on building and operating a world-class security operations function.

You’ll lead threat detection, incident response, and the design and automation of security platforms. The role offers opportunities to mentor engineers and collaborate across an agile, distributed organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity and/or software engineering.
• Professional experience in security operations, ideally including time in or leading a SOC.
• Strong software engineering background to design reliable security tools and platforms.
• Hands-on scripting with Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
• Monitor security environments, identify threats, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
• Assess existing security controls and implement improvements to strengthen posture.
• Apply software engineering and SRE principles to automate processes and improve tooling.
• Mentor and support early-career Security Operations engineers.
• Plan, prioritise, and deliver security initiatives within an agile framework.
• Collaborate across engineering and security teams to tackle challenges.
• Contribute to open source security projects, threat intelligence, and talks.
