Job summary

Jobgether seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a fully remote, globally distributed engineering team based in Turkey. You will blend hands-on technical involvement with people leadership to deliver high-value features and drive continuous improvement of engineering practices.

You’ll work with Product, Design, and customer-facing teams to balance feature development, technical investments, and product quality, while removing blockers and accelerating learning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience or equivalent
• Fluent in reading code and technical design docs, able to participate in discussions
• Strong product sense with ability to translate requirements into engineering solutions
• Proven ability to debug project execution and adjust as needed
• Strong problem decomposition to break work into smaller increments
• Decisive in removing blockers to consistently ship high-quality software
• Coaching and mentoring in loosely structured environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication for asynchronous collaboration
• Ability to work with globally distributed teams and manage priorities autonomously
• Outcome-oriented with curiosity and judgment to deliver long-term value

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and support a team of engineers to deliver high-quality features
• Partner with Product, Design, and Success to plan and execute the roadmap
• Coach engineers and support their career development
• Remove obstacles and improve team processes and practices
• Diagnose execution challenges and adjust scope, dependencies, and delivery risks
• Maintain technical involvement by understanding problems and contributing to decisions
• Review designs, code, and proposals to clarify requirements and risks
• Decompose initiatives into manageable components and adapt plans as needed
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineers while fostering a strong culture
• Make decisions around project execution, prioritization, and delivery
