Job summary

Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul, part of the Shangri-La Group, seeks a Director of Operations to lead and oversee all hotel operations ensuring exceptional guest service, quality, and efficiency. You will drive performance, manage costs, and maintain brand standards across Front Office, Spa, Housekeeping, Security and Engineering.

You will collaborate with Food & Beverage and other hotel teams to ensure a seamless guest journey, monitor KPIs and guest satisfaction, and lead high-performing teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading Rooms Division and overseeing Front Office, Spa, Housekeeping, Security and Engineering.
• Fluent in English and Turkish; excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the operational departments to ensure the highest standards of guest service, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive operational performance, productivity and profitability while effectively managing costs and resources.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Build collaboration across departments and work with Food & Beverage and other hotel teams to ensure a seamless guest journey.
• Monitor and improve KPIs, guest satisfaction scores, and quality audit results; follow up on improvement plans.
• Oversee room readiness, cleanliness, maintenance and presentation to meet luxury hospitality standards.
• Support Spa performance by enhancing service quality, guest engagement and revenue opportunities.
• Develop, motivate and lead high-performing teams through coaching and succession planning.
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing and operational resources to achieve financial and service objectives.
