Job summary

Rönesans Holding seeks an experienced Import Specialist to join its Procurement team in Adana/Ceyhan, Türkiye, and manage end-to-end import operations for overseas orders.

You will coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, customs brokers and internal functions, review documentation for customs clearance, and monitor costs and compliance to ensure timely delivery of materials to the plant. Fluency in English and SAP experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in import, foreign trade and customs operations.
• Experience in petrochemicals, refinery, chemicals, energy or a process/heavy industry environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish import legislation and dealing with customs brokers.
• Proficient in international trade documentation, Incoterms and transport processes.
• Hands-on SAP experience and MS Office skills, especially Excel.

• Prepare reports on lead time, cost and performance.

Rönesans Holding and Sonatrach, Algeria’s energy company, are developing a major greenfield petrochemical complex in the Ceyhan Energy Specialized Industrial Zone in Adana.

As the project progresses towards commissioning, start-up and operations, we are looking for an experienced Import Specialist to join our Procurement team and manage import, customs and international logistics activities for the Ceyhan PDH-PP Plant.

The Import Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end import operations following overseas purchasing activities, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, timely customs clearance and delivery of materials to the plant.

The role requires strong coordination with suppliers, logistics service providers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders, together with close control of import documentation, costs and statutory requirements.

What You’ll Do?

• Manage end-to-end import operations for overseas orders.
• Coordinate suppliers, logistics service providers, customs brokers and relevant internal functions following purchase orders.
• Review import documentation provided by suppliers and ensure all required documents are complete and accurate before customs clearance.
• Manage daily operational communication with customs brokers and provide customs clearance instructions and required documents on time.
• Review customs declarations and supporting documentation and monitor customs clearance processes.
• Coordinate processes related to HS/GTIP classification, origin, customs value, import duties and other import obligations.
• Follow permits, conformity assessments, surveillance measures and other requirements of relevant public authorities applicable to import transactions.
• Monitor international transportation and ensure timely customs clearance and delivery of materials to the plant.
• Track and control customs clearance, storage, demurrage, freight and other import-related costs.
• Complete required SAP transactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date import data and records.
• Ensure import files are documented and archived in compliance with applicable legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor changes in customs and foreign trade regulations and communicate relevant developments to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare reports on import lead time, cost and operational performance.

What We Expect from You?

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in import, foreign trade and customs operations.
• Preferably experienced in petrochemicals, refinery, chemicals, energy or another process/heavy industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish import and customs legislation, with hands-on experience managing operational processes with customs brokers.
• Sound knowledge of international trade documentation, Incoterms and international transportation processes.
• Working knowledge of HS/GTIP classification, origin, customs valuation, import duties, permits, conformity, surveillance and trade-remedy practices.
• Hands-on experience with SAP and strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking, follow-up, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Able to work at the Adana/Ceyhan location.
