Job summary

Ceyhan Terminal Hizmetleri A.Ş. in Adana seeks an experienced Terminal Director to lead the greenfield cryogenic gas terminal from construction through commissioning and long-term operations.

You will build the terminal organization, ensure operational readiness and deliver strong safety, reliability and commercial performance while reporting to the Joint Venture Board.

Permanent appointment or fixed-term contract of at least three years with relocation and housing support where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or related engineering.
• Proven leadership of operations at high-hazard facilities, incl. start-up or commissioning.
• Experience commissioning cryogenic gas terminals (LNG/LPG) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to build and develop multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Able to carry full P&L responsibility and report to the Board.
• Fluency in English; Turkish is advantageous but not mandatory.

Ceyhan Terminal Hizmetleri A.Ş. is a joint venture between Stolthaven Terminals, one of the world’s leading independent operators of bulk liquid and gas storage terminals, and Rönesans Holding, one of Türkiye’s leading contracting and investment groups.

The company is developing a new cryogenic gas import and storage terminal in the Ceyhan Energy Specialized Industrial Zone in Adana. The greenfield facility will include a deep-water jetty, marine unloading and metering systems, a full-containment cryogenic propane storage tank, product transfer systems to the adjacent petrochemical complex and all supporting utilities.

The terminal will be the first independent facility of its kind serving this growing industrial cluster and has further expansion potential.

Ceyhan Terminal Hizmetleri A.Ş. is seeking an experienced Terminal Director to lead the terminal from the final stages of construction through commissioning, start-up, handover and long-term operations.

Reporting directly to the Joint Venture Board, the Terminal Director will be responsible for building the terminal organization, ensuring operational readiness and establishing a safe, reliable and commercially efficient operation.

What You’ll Do?

• Lead commissioning, testing, start-up and handover from the EPC contractor.
• Establish and develop the Operations, Maintenance, SHEQ and Administrative teams.
• Ensure operational readiness through the implementation of procedures and systems, training, permits, spare parts and emergency arrangements.
• Establish a strong safety, health, environmental and quality culture.
• Assume overall responsibility for the terminal’s operational and financial performance.
• Manage relationships with shareholders, authorities, business partners, neighbouring facilities and the local community.
• Provide regular reporting to the Joint Venture Board on progress, risks, performance and readiness.
• Support the terminal’s future growth and expansion.

What We Expect from You?

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline.
• Proven, hands-on leadership of operations at a high-hazard facility (e.g. terminal, refinery, petrochemical, gas or process plant, or marine operations) is essential, including experience of a greenfield start-up or major commissioning.
• Experience commissioning a cryogenic gas terminal (LNG / LPG / refrigerated gas / propane) is a strong advantage — and you will have access to the shareholders' global subject-matter experts to support you.
• Proven ability to build, lead and develop multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Ability to carry full P&L responsibility and report directly to a Board.
• Operational mindseta decisive and action-oriented approach, and pragmatism to deliver within defined timeline.
• Fluency in English is required. For international candidates, Turkish is an advantage but not mandatory.
