Job summary

Workforce İnsan Kaynakları is looking for an Import & Export Operations Assistant to support daily import, export, and shipment activities in Istanbul's European side.

You will assist with document preparation, verify data in the ERP system, and coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners to keep shipments on schedule. Strong English and good organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years in foreign trade, logistics, or import/export operations.
• Basic knowledge of import/export processes and related docs.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support daily follow-up of import, export, and shipment operations.
• Assist with preparation, checking, and organization of foreign trade documents and shipping papers.
• Track import shipment schedules and customs processes to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and partners.
• Support logistics reporting and daily data updates.
• Enter and update information in ERP systems and internal trackers.
• Follow up on required documents to help shipments complete on time.
• Report issues to the Manager.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient foreign trade operation.

We are looking for an "Import & Export Operations Assistant" for our customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily follow-up of import, export, and shipment operations
• Assist with the preparation, checking, and organization of foreign trade and shipping documents
• Follow up on import shipment schedules, transportation status, customs processes, and delivery progress
• Communicate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners regarding ongoing operations
• Assist with logistics reporting and Daily data updates
• Enter and update relevant information in ERP systems and internal tracking files
• Follow up on required documents and information to help ensure shipments are completed on time
• Report operational issues or missing information to the Manager
• Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient foreign trade operation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Preferably 1–3 years of experience in foreign trade, logistics, import/export operations, or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of import/export processes and foreign trade documentation
• Good command of written and spoken English is preferred
• Organized and willing to learn
• Good communication skills and ability to work with different departments and external partners
• Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage
• Located on the European side of Istanbul
