Job summary

Siegwerk, a global leader in printing inks, invites you to join Istanbul Tuzla as Export Operations Assistant Specialist. You will support export shipments with forwarders, monitor progress, and help ensure timely, compliant deliveries in an international setting.

With 1–3 years in export operations and a related degree, you will use ERP and MS Office to manage documents, costs, and records while collaborating with Order Management, Planning, Finance, and Logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years of export operations or logistics experience.
• Knowledge of export regulations, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
• Experience with ERP and MS Office tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export shipments with freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams.
• Prepare and check export documents (invoices, packing lists, certificates).
• Support customs clearance processes and track shipments.
• Enter costs and invoices into ERP accurately.
• Collaborate with Order Management, Planning, Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics.
• Maintain professional communication with international customers and providers.
• Assist with reporting and admin tasks related to export operations.

Your Tasks – What You Can Expect as an Export Operations Assistant Specialist?

• Support the coordination of export shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in organizing and following up international transportation activities with nominated forwarders.
• Monitor shipment progress and support customs clearance processes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow up on freight forwarder and customs broker performance and maintain related records.
• Prepare and control export documentation, including E-Invoice, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, AT.R, EUR.1, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Policy, IMO Form, and other related documents.
• Support export license applications, customs procedures, and trade incentive processes in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Enter export operation-related costs and invoices into ERP systems accurately and on time.
• Archive export documents digitally and ensure proper document management.
• Deliver original export documentation files to the Accounting department when required.
• Collaborate with Order Management, Planning, Finance, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to support operational excellence.
• Maintain professional communication with international customers, agents, logistics service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with reporting and administrative tasks related to export operations.

Your Profile – What Do You Bring as an Export Operations Assistant Specialist?

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in export operations, international trade, logistics, or supply chain functions.
• Basic knowledge of export regulations, Incoterms, customs documentation, foreign trade compliance, and international logistics processes.
• Exposure to sea, air, land, or multimodal transportation operations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and ERP systems.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and grow within an international business environment.
