AVL Türkiye Araştırma ve Mühendislik is seeking a Design Engineer to develop and integrate powertrain and vehicle components for commercial platforms. You will model components, create detailed drawings, and document quality processes while coordinating with teams to meet deadlines.

The role includes evaluating test results, planning next steps, and conducting on-site reviews of builds across Türkiye, with frequent travel. Strong English communication is required; German is a plus.

Competenze

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in system and component design of vehicles and/or powertrains in the automotive industry.
• Experience with CATIA V6/V5 CAD tools for at least two years including technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
• Willingness to travel frequently within Türkiye.

Job Description

• Design of powertrain and vehicle components; including their integration into commercial vehicle platforms.


• Creation of component models and preperation of technical drawings.


• Preparation of component quality documentation (boundary diagrams, P diagrams, robustness check lists, FMEAs and test plans).


• Assessment of test and simulation results and defining next steps.


• Plans and formulates own workflow and that of others to meet specified deadlines with a minimum of supervision.


• On site examination of new vehicle builds and/or new powertrain builds for compliance with then current design and communicate with stakeholders for required design changesç

Profile Description

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Electrical Engineering


• Minimum 3 years of experience in system and component design of vehicles and/or powertrains in the automotive industry


• Working experience with Catia V6/V5 CAD tools for at least two years including technical drawings


• Knowledge of DFM (Design for manufacturing)


• Open to frequent travels inside Türkiye


• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German would be a plus)
