Spheros in Esenyurt, Istanbul seeks a Design Engineer to work on development and application of Spheros products, creating innovative concepts and 3D models.

You will ensure manufacturability, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and assess system integrations across electrical interfaces, refrigerants, fuel, water and air. Fluency in English required; occasional travel.

Competenze

• Degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or similar with relevant training.
• Initial experience as a design engineer is a plus.
• Knowledge of vehicle/bus development processes desirable.
• Excellent CATIA V5 skills; MS Office proficiency.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

• Work independently on projects for the development and application of Spheros products.
• Create technically innovative solutions and concept ideas using CATIA V5.
• Always keep an eye on cost efficiency, manufacturability, ease of assembly, design, quality, maintenance, and service.
• Design concepts and 3D models, taking into account manufacturing tolerances, long-term material behavior, and tooling and process requirements.
• Technical coordination with suppliers and customers will also be part of your responsibilities.
• Coordinate engineering details with internal departments.
• Assess system integrations for new developments and applications, including electrical interfaces, refrigerants, fuel, water, and air.

What We’re Looking For

• Ideally, you hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable qualification with relevant additional training.
• Initial professional experience as a design engineer is an advantage.
• Knowledge of development processes in the bus or automotive industry is desirable.
• Excellent skills in CATIA V5 and are proficient in standard MS Office applications.
• Able to operate autonomously while following a structured workflow
• Basic knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Flexibility to travel on an occasional basis.
