AVL Research & Engineering in Istanbul, Turkey, seeks a mechanical/automotive engineer with 3+ years of design experience to join their vehicle and powertrain teams. You will design components, create CAD models, and produce documentation to support certification and manufacturing. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

The role emphasizes on-site work with cross-functional stakeholders and a strong focus on Design For Manufacturing and quality assurance.

Competenze

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in system and component design of vehicles and/or powertrains in the automotive industry
Experience with Catia V6/V5 CAD tools for at least two years including technical drawings
Knowledge of DFM (Design for manufacturing)
Fluent English (German would be a plus)

Mansioni

Design of powertrain and vehicle components; including their integration into commercial vehicle platforms.
Creation of component models and preperation of technical drawings.
Preparation of component quality documentation (boundary diagrams, P diagrams, robustness check lists, FMEAs and test plans).
Assessment of test and simulation results and defining next steps.
Plans and formulates own workflow and that of others to meet specified deadlines with a minimum of supervision.
On site examination of new vehicle builds and/or new powertrain builds for compliance with then current design and communicate with stakeholders for required design changes.
