Job summary

Matec Industries in Istanbul is seeking a proactive Commercial Operations Specialist to support commercial, accounting, purchasing, logistics, and after-sales activities from our on-site office.

You will manage orders, invoices, reports, supplier coordination, import/export procedures, stock and spare-parts inventory, and collaborate with our Italian manufacturing operations to ensure smooth cross-functional processes.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Italian is considered an advantage.
• Good practical knowledge of accounting principles and preliminary financial reporting.
• Experience in commercial operations, purchasing, supplier management, logistics, and preferably import/export procedures.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Strong business correspondence and reporting skills.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up abilities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily commercial activities, sales orders, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Follow invoices, payments, collections, receivables/payables, costs, and expenses.
• Prepare preliminary financial, sales, cost, payment, and collection reports for Management and the Group Finance Department.
• Coordinate with the company’s independent financial/accounting consultant.
• Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, financial proposals, and sales reports.
• Source local and international suppliers, obtain and compare quotations, place purchase orders, and follow deliveries.
• Coordinate import/export procedures, customs clearance, transportation, and logistics.
• Communicate with our manufacturing facilities in Italy and follow equipment and spare-parts orders.
• Support stock and spare-parts inventory follow-up.
• Coordinate technical/service team schedules and provide operational support to sales and after-sales activities.
• Provide regular and structured reports to Management regarding ongoing activities and pending matters.

About the Role

This position requires close coordination between Management, Finance, Sales, Technical Service, Suppliers, Customers, and Matec’s manufacturing operations in Italy.
