WHAT TO EXPECT

You will assist on the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, including month-end closing and financial analysis. This role requires someone who is analytical and meticulous and will report to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Management Reporting

• Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports for senior management.
• Monitor key financial metrics and provide recommendations to enhance profitability.
• Support internal stakeholders with financial insights to drive business growth.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Work closely with department heads to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Assess financial risks and provide mitigation strategies.

Cost Management & Profitability Analysis

• Analyze business costs and recommend strategies for cost control.
• Evaluate pricing strategies, margin analysis, and profitability assessments.
• Implement financial controls to optimize business efficiency.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to support financial decision-making.
• Provide financial insights to support business expansion and investment decisions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on financial performance and risk management.

WHO YOU ARE

• Diploma / Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Minimum 3 years of monthly closing experience; experience with Xero is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, think strategically, and plan effectively to deliver results.
• A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling collaboration and influencing outcomes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel.
• Problem solver with a can-do attitude and a desire to excel.
• Thrive in a fluid, dynamically changing, and results-oriented environment.
