Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Youth Worker to support secondary school students (Yishun) with at‑risk behaviours, absenteeism, and social challenges. You will conduct mentoring, home visits where appropriate, and coordinate interventions with school staff to promote positive outcomes.

The role requires a Diploma/degree in Social Work or related field, 3+ years of youth work experience, and strong communication and emotional intelligence.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work or related Social Science preferred.
• Certifications in stress management, anger management, suicide prevention or grief counselling advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of at‑risk students with challenges like absenteeism, behavioural issues, and school engagement.
• Conduct regular mentoring sessions and check-ins to build rapport and guide positive changes.
• Support students experiencing distress, de‑escalate situations, and refer to school personnel as needed.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and guided reflections to improve self‑regulation and decision‑making.
• Supervise students during in‑school suspension, detention, and related activities.
• Plan and lead individual or group sessions on anger management and social skills.
