Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is looking for a dedicated counsellor/social worker to support the Student Management Team in handling at-risk students and those with behavioural, attendance or disciplinary concerns. You will assist with case management, supervision and preliminary investigations.

You will conduct student check-ins, mentoring and social-emotional support, using counselling and restorative practices to promote positive behaviour and student well-being.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or a related field is preferred.
• Accreditation in restorative practices is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in counselling, social work or working with youths.
• Good communication, interpersonal and student engagement skills.
• Able to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support the Student Management Team in managing at-risk students and behavioural concerns.
• Assist with case management, supervision, and preliminary investigations.
• Conduct student check-ins, mentoring and social-emotional support.
• Use counselling and restorative practices to promote positive behaviour and student well-being.
• Monitor students serving detention, suspension or other intervention programmes.
• Identify and escalate students requiring additional support.
• Maintain proper records and case documentation.
• Work closely with teachers, counsellors and other school personnel on student interventions.
• Conduct student engagement activities and life-skills programmes.
• Perform related student management and administrative duties as assigned.
