Job summary

APBA TG Human Resource Pte Ltd is seeking dedicated Youth Workers to support secondary school students with additional needs. You will mentor, provide case support, and engage with students to strengthen wellbeing and resilience in collaboration with school personnel.

Candidates with experience in youth work, social work, counselling, psychology, or student support and a passion for helping young people will thrive in this meaningful role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youths-at-risk or students with additional needs is highly preferred
• Experience in school-based settings will be an advantage
• Strong ability to engage and build rapport with youths
• Able to manage complex student cases with professionalism and sensitivity
• Emotionally stable, resourceful, resilient, and collaborative
• Culturally sensitive and open to diverse perspectives
• Passionate about supporting youths and families, with a positive belief in their potential
• Must be eligible for school-based deployment / registration requirements where applicable

Responsibilities

• Provide during-school and after-school support for identified students with higher needs and/or additional needs
• Build strong rapport with students through mentoring and regular engagement
• Support students' social-emotional development, resilience, and life skills
• Conduct casework and contribute to intervention plans with the school's case management team
• Create a safe, supportive, and positive environment for students
• Serve as a positive adult role model to reinforce appropriate values and behaviours
• Support student engagement through upstream support, academic support, and interest-based programmes
• Work collaboratively with school staff to provide updates on student progress and challenges
• Provide relevant feedback, consultation, and support to teachers regarding student needs
