Job summary

A community rehabilitation organization based in Singapore is seeking a Youth Work Associate/Senior Youth Work Associate to oversee youth residents in an institutional facility. The role demands planning and conducting engagement activities while ensuring the welfare and safety of residents. Youth Work Associate / Snr Youth Work Associate will be working with the youths staying in an institutional facility, which focus on community rehabilitation. List of responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the residents on a daily basis; manage the welfare, discipline and standards of regimentation in the institution
  • Support the shift during emergency
  • Deliver Trauma-informed practices in daily interactions
  • Ensure safety and security of premises, include perform body & property check, carry out security patrols, dormitory checks and conduct urine test (when necessary)
  • Manage and provide care for the daily living needs of the residents in the Hostel
  • Plan and conduct engagement activities in educational and recreational programmes for the residents
  • Able to develop positive relationship with the residents
  • Facilitate proactive and restorative circles (attain competence)
  • Involve in admission process
  • Involve in taskforce, to assist and execute tasks required from the taskforce.
Technical Competencies
  • Able to do rotating shift.
  • Independent, resourceful and responsible.
  • Firm in upholding the standards and responsive in dealing with people.
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong communication and writing skills.
