Job summary

A construction consulting company in Singapore is seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations and lead a technical team. Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.   • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm; Saturday 8am to 12pm
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the workshop and store
  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians, electricians, mechanics, welders, fabricators, and store men
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of construction equipment and machinery
  • Ensure proper inventory management, including parts tracking, procurement, and stock control
  • Implement and maintain workplace safety protocols
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability of equipment and materials
Job Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity, preferably in the Construction Industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in inventory management, spare parts control, and safety regulations
  • Experience in construction equipment maintenance is an advantage
  • Able to converse in Chinese as required to interact with engineers and technicians from China
