Job summary

WORKFORCE GATEWAY PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Wine Sommelier to elevate our restaurant's wine program in Singapore. You will curate the wine list, advise guests, and deliver expert service to enhance the dining experience.

You will manage inventory, coordinate with suppliers, and train staff to provide tailored wine recommendations and pairing suggestions that delight guests and drive beverage sales.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a Wine Sommelier or in restaurant wine service.
• Knowledge of international wines, grape varieties and regions.
• Understanding of wine and food pairing.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional wine presentation, tasting and serving abilities.
• Knowledge of wine inventory and stock management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the restaurant's wine list and beverage selection.
• Recommend wines to complement the menu and customer preferences.
• Research new wines, wineries and suppliers.
• Serve wines according to professional service standards.
• Maintain proper storage, temperatures, and equipment cleanliness.
• Promote wine selections and wine-pairing promotions.
• Train staff on wine knowledge and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore liquor licensing requirements and responsible service.
