Job summary

Black Sheep Restaurants (HK) is seeking an Assistant Sommelier for our new Singapore restaurant. Working closely with Senior Sommeliers, Group Sommelier, Restaurant Managers and Chefs, you will develop and manage the wine programme, curate menus and train the team.

You will lead wine pairings, engage guests with expert service, and help with wine cellars, ordering, budgeting and supplier liaison to drive memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Hospitality career with wine focus.
• Experience managing wine cellars.
• Experience liaising with suppliers.
• Experience in renowned restaurants.
• Extensive wine training.
• Ability to train staff in wine.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the wine programme and curate menus.
• Lead wine sales to drive restaurant service and profitability.
• Train all team members in tasting and service.
• Engage guests with wine recommendations and service.
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage wine cellars and inventories.
• Develop wine lists aligned with restaurant stories.
