Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking an accomplished wine service professional to join our fine dining team. You will manage wine storage and temperature control, perform bottle opening and decanting, and provide correct glassware service to guests.

You will drive sales with guest-focused recommendations and thoughtful food-and-wine pairings, assist floor operations during peak and non-peak hours, and handle inventory, supplier liaison, and basic admin tasks such as rosters and invoicing.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and storytelling abilities to introduce wines and engage guests.
• English proficiency for reading wine labels and explaining wines to international guests.
• Multilingual skills are advantageous for a diverse guest base.

Responsibilities

• Wine Service: manage wine storage and temperature control, proper bottle opening, decanting, and correct glassware service.
• Sales-Oriented: Recommend wines based on guest preferences and menu selections, with focus on food and wine pairing to increase spend.
• Floor Support: assist front-of-house operations during non-peak wine service periods, including guest reception and handling feedback.
• Inventory Management: conduct daily/weekly wine stock checks, control losses, liaise with suppliers for replenishment.
