Job summary

Hunan Traditional Cuisine Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an entry-level waiter to join our front-of-house team. You will greet guests, present menus, take orders, and ensure a smooth dining experience.

No experience required; weekend and public holiday availability is needed. Training provided, with opportunities for fast progression in a friendly work environment.

Qualifications

• Guest-focused, able to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• No experience required; willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Excellent attitude and customer-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to tables and provide excellent service.
• Present menus, explain portions, ingredients, and allergies; up-sell when appropriate.
• Take orders using a POS system, deliver checks and process payments.
• Communicate orders to kitchen, serve food and drinks, ensure presentation.
• Check tableware cleanliness and report issues; maintain tidy dining area.
• Follow health regulations and assist with table settings.

Job Description

1. Greet and escort customers to their tables. Provide excellent customer service to guests.
2. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies). Offer menu recommendations upon request. Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
3. Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips. Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
4. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff, Serve food and drink orders
5. Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
6. Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area. Follow all relevant health department regulations.

Requirements:

1. Able to work split shift, weekends and public holidays
2. Customer oriented, service focus, responsible and positive working attitude
3. No experience welcomed
