Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced CICS and MQ Systems Programmer to be responsible for providing technical support for IBM's CICS and MQ software.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade CICS and MQ software
• Monitor CICS and MQ system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Work with application teams to ensure that applications are designed to perform optimally on CICS and MQ
• Perform system tuning to ensure CICS and MQ is running optimally
• Provide technical troubleshooting and support for CICS and MQ including engagement of IBM and vendors for problem resolution and determination
• Provide process automation support and maintain SOP documentation
• Support backup/recovery and disaster/recovery planning and testing
• Support periodic system configuration reviews and audit reviews

Requirements

• At least 10-15 years of experience working with CICS and MQ in a z/OS environment including experience with REXX, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF
• Familiarity and support of 3rd party software e.g. Omegamon, CICS PA, Fault Analyzer, APA etc
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
