Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) seeks a senior CMDB/ITAM leader to own regional CMDB governance, standards, and data quality across APAC. You will guide ServiceNow ITAM projects, onboarding, and CI relationship management while coordinating with ITSM, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, CS, or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Configuration Management and IT Asset Management.
• Minimum 10 years in ITAM/Configuration Management or IT service management.
• 3–5 years managing CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and IRE.
• Experience standardizing processes across multiple teams/locations.
• Experience in KPIs/KRIs, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Analytical and strong written communication skills.
• Ability to translate data issues into operational risks and actions.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• Lead regional CMDB ownership by governing Configuration Management processes, standards, and continuous improvement in alignment with enterprise and global frameworks.
• Act as the regional owner for the CMDB and Configuration Management operating process.
• Define the CMDB operating model, standards, procedures, service expectations and improvement roadmap.
• Align the regional CMDB capability with applicable enterprise and global frameworks.

ServiceNow implementation and Regional Master Data Onboarding:

• Lead regional ServiceNow ITAM implementation, master asset data onboarding, validation, and production readiness to ensure data quality standards are met.
• Drive ServiceNow projects and implementation of ITAM module across the region.

CMDB Data Governance and Quality

• Ensure CMDB data quality through strong governance, standards, monitoring, and remediation.
• Establish controls to maintain the accuracy, completeness, consistency and integrity of CI data.
• Drive periodic data certification, exception management and remediation with CI and asset owners

CI and Service Relationship Management:

• Manage CI and service relationships by setting standards and ensuring accurate mapping
• Establish standards for relationships between infrastructure, applications, systems and services.
• Drive asset-to-system mapping and CI relationship completeness
• Coordinate with system and service owners to maintain relationship accuracy

Stakeholder and Team Leadership:

• Lead the regional CMDB/ITAM function by guiding analysts, coordinating cross-functional teams, and promoting CMDB standards adoption across APAC.
• Partner with APAC branch leads, local PICs and IT/IS service owners to address local requirements and improve service delivery consistently across the region.
• Lead the regional CMDB/ITAM function and provide directions to CMDB analysts.
• Manage vendor teams to deliver ServiceNow Asset Management projects.
• Coordinate across ITSM, ITAM, Infrastructure, Application, Security, Enterprise Architecture, ServiceNow and Branch teams.
• Drive awareness, training and adoption of CMDB standards across APAC

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Configuration Management, IT Asset Management, governance, control frameworks and IT infrastructure operations.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or Service Management within an IT infrastructure or operations environment.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience specifically managing CMDB, ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and Identification and Reconciliation (IRE).
• Experience improving and standardizing processes and controls across multiple teams or locations.
• Experience in establishing service controls, KPIs/KRIs, dashboards and management reporting.
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, process-improvement and technical-writing skills.
• Ability to translate technical data issues into operational risks, management actions and measurable outcomes.
