Vice Principal (Administration)

The Vice Principal (Administration) supports the Principal in providing strategic and operational leadership for the effective administration and management of the school. The role oversees student‑athlete services, admissions, scholarships, strategic planning, data and knowledge management, as well as administrative and operational support for sport, academic and student development programmes. As a member of the School Leadership Team, the Vice Principal (Administration) provides leadership to the Academic & Student Development Administration Team and the Sport Administration Team to support the achievement of the school’s strategic priorities. The Vice Principal (Administration) also serves as the School Chief Safety Officer, with responsibility for school‑wide safety and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities
A. Administration of Student‑Athlete Services and Programmes
  • Provide leadership and oversight of student‑athlete services that support holistic development, including the administration of internal and external financial assistance schemes such as scholarships, bursaries and sponsorships.
  • Oversee administrative and operational processes supporting sport, academic and student development programmes, including procurement and contract management for services and programmes.
  • Ensure the effective, efficient and timely administration of key school‑wide processes and events, including admissions and registration exercises, assessments and examinations, local and overseas trips, camps and learning journeys.
  • Strengthen administrative effectiveness through continuous review and improvement of operational processes, systems and workflows, including daily operations (e.g. attendance management, transport services), data governance and communications.
B. Resource Management and Governance
  • Oversee planning, deployment and administration of resources to support sport, academic and student development programmes.
  • Ensure sound governance through robust financial management, procurement policies and contract management practices.
  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with audit, financial and operational requirements.
C. Strategic Planning and Change Management
  • Support the Principal in the development, implementation and review of the school’s strategic plans and priorities, including alignment of resources to strategic outcomes.
  • Facilitate school‑level strategic planning processes with the School Leadership Team, including the formulation of goals, success indicators and implementation plans.
  • Drive organisational development initiatives by fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, productivity enhancement and effective change management.
  • Leverage data, analytics and digital systems to support evidence‑based decision‑making and performance monitoring.
D. School Safety and Emergency Preparedness (Chief Safety Officer)
  • Serve as the School Chief Safety Officer, providing leadership in school safety, security and emergency preparedness.
  • Develop, implement and regularly review school‑wide safety, security and emergency response policies and procedures.
  • Lead emergency planning, exercises and drills, and coordinate with MCCY, MOE and relevant government agencies on safety audits and emergency preparedness.
  • Build a strong safety culture through staff and student‑athlete education, training, drills and self‑assessment exercises.
Competencies and Experience
  • Minimum five years of relevant senior leadership experience in strategic planning, administration and operational management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex school‑wide operations. • Strong organisational, people management and communication skills.
  • Experience as a Vice Principal (Administration) or in a comparable school leadership role in Singapore is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of public sector finance, procurement and/or human resource management is an advantage.

Youth Head Coach for Table Tennis

We are seeking a suitable candidate to fill the full‑time position of Youth Head Coach for Table Tennis to prepare our developmental student‑athletes towards national team representation at international competitions and the Major Games (Southeast Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, World Championships and Olympic Games). The Youth Head Coach will report to Technical Director/Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) for technical matters and Assistant Director Sports/SSP for operational and administrative matters.

The appointed Youth Head Coach will be responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the training and competition plans for student‑athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long‑term athlete development principles. This will include student‑athletes in STTA’s National Youth set‑up, i.e., the School‑Within‑School (SWS) Programme in SSP, Junior Development Squad (JDS) and Youth Training Squad (YTS). The appointed Youth Head Coach will prepare quarterly reports on the overall performance and progress of the various teams. In addition, the appointed Youth Head Coach will conduct regular review with each national youth paddler to discuss performance progress and goals. He/She will work with the SSP General Manager, STTA Senior High Performance Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student‑athletes.

The appointed Youth Head Coach will ensure that the plans utilise all available resources including relevant support services (sport science, medicine and conditioning) and travel to relevant domestic and international tournaments as required. The Youth Head Coach will also work with the General Manager to recruit suitable student‑athletes, mentor the team of coaches in JDS, SWS and YTS and establish good relationships with stakeholders such as STTA’s High‑Performance Team. The candidate for Youth Head Coach must have experience in leading and mentoring a team of coaches.

Requirements
  • At least 10 years’ experience of competitive coaching with elite and developmental youth athletes
  • Able to lead, mentor and develop a team of coaches to increase their capabilities and deliver a higher standard of coaching
  • Able to work as part of a team while showing initiative and independence in delivering the assigned duties
  • Possess the equivalent of the ITTF Level 2 and/or an international table tennis coaching qualification recognised by ITTF
  • Fulfil requirements to obtain National Registry of Coaches (NROC) membership and Ministry of Education (MOE) registration (for foreigners, to obtain NROC within 3 months)
  • Displays good understanding of sports science as applied to elite youth sports based on long term athlete development principles
  • Keen understanding of the quality Daily Training Environment needed for the development of student‑athletes
  • Competent in values inculcation and character development for student‑athletes
  • Good planning, administrative and organisational skills, with progressive knowledge, skills and attitude towards the use of data analytics in the training programme
  • Able to communicate well in English with student‑athletes, parents and other stakeholders. · Experience working within a school environment would be an advantage.
