Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to support finance operations, reporting, governance, and process improvement initiatives. This role is suitable for candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and experience in structured or regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Accounting
- Oversee and assist in the raising and processing of invoices through TenderBoard
- Coordinate with outsourced accounting vendors to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end management accounts
- Review payment supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies
- Review GST and withholding tax treatments and ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, including submissions to IRAS
- Coordinate and process budget transfers in NetSuite, ensuring adherence to approved budget controls
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review quarterly budget-to-actual variance analysis with clear commentary
- Support annual budget exercises, including preparation of budget materials and consolidation for management review
Governance, Compliance & Audit Support
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation and submission of required schedules and documentation
- Oversee issuance of donation receipts in compliance with IPC regulations
- Assist with IRAS submissions related to donations
Committee Secretariat & Meeting Support
- Coordinate Finance Committee meetings, including preparation of papers, agenda management, accurate minute-taking, and tracking of follow-up action items
Process Improvement & Systems Support
- Identify and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and productivity enhancements within Finance
- Support finance-led projects such as system enhancements, process reviews, and cross-functional initiatives
- Assist in conducting finance-related briefings and training to enhance staff financial literacy
Other Duties
- Perform ad-hoc duties and special assignments as required to support departmental and organisational objectives
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting operations, or financial administration
- Experience in invoicing, payments, budgeting, or financial reporting
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills to work with internal teams and stakeholders
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a structured environment
Salary: $3,500 – $3,800
Working Hours: 5-day work week, 8:30am – 6:00pm
