Job Role

We are seeking a Senior Blockchain Engineer to help architect and build the bank’s next-generation digital money and tokenized asset infrastructure. You will work closely with teams across Transaction Banking, Payments, Custody, and DDEx to deliver secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant blockchain solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement smart contracts for tokenized deposits and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization on Layer 1 / 2 Ethereum based networks (Ethereum mainnet, Base, Arbitrum, other ERC-20 etc.).
• Collaborate with transaction banking and digital payments teams to integrate blockchain-based settlement systems.
• Lead technical delivery for tokenized deposits, on-chain payments, and real-world asset tokenization initiatives.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure for digital custody and exchange operations.
• Build middleware and APIs integrating blockchain networks with core banking and payment systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish internal best practices for blockchain development and deployment.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years focused on blockchain / distributed systems.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Solidity and EVM‑compatible smart contract development.
• Strong understanding of DeFi protocols, tokenization standards (ERC‑20, ERC‑721 etc.), and on‑chain settlement mechanisms.
• Experience with at least one: payments infrastructure, custody solutions, digital asset trading, or banking technology.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work on tokenized deposits, stablecoins, or institutional DeFi applications.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, KYC / AML compliance, and permissioned blockchain architectures.
• Familiarity with Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solutions and enterprise blockchain frameworks.
• Contributions to open‑source blockchain projects or DeFi protocols.
