Job summary

VDL Enabling Technologies Group (Singapore) is seeking a logistics/transport coordinator to arrange and manage the movement of product-related materials and parts. You will liaise with sub-contracting service providers to schedule receive/return activities to support operations fulfilments.

The role involves preparing transit documents, handling non-conforming parts with internal teams and suppliers, and maintaining a safe sub-con area while supporting transport bookings and parts labeling.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage product-related materials/parts in line with VDL procedures.
• Prepare transit documents for dispatch to Suppliers.
• Handle non-conforming parts by returning/receiving with internal and supplier.
• Maintain safety and security of the sub-con area to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support transport booking for internal and external use to ensure deliverables.
• Liaise with suppliers for collection to rework parts.
• Prepare labels with details (project code, production order number, quantities) and attach to components.
• Support and participate in the company continuous improvement program.

Job description

Purpose: Responsible for arranging transportation operations and activities for product-related materials and parts. This includes planning, liaising, and confirming with sub-contracting service providers to receive and return materials/parts to support operations fulfilments.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Manage product-related materials/parts from internally in accordance with VDL operational Procedures.

• Prepare the transit documents for administrative before dispatch of product to Supplier.

• Handling non-conforming part by returning and receiving product from internal and supplier

• Maintain safety and security of the sub-con area to ensure a safe work environment.

• Support in transport booking for internal & external use to ensure deliverables are met.

• Liaise with supplier for collection to rework parts.

• Prepare labels with details (E.g. Project code, production order number, and quantities) according to individual folders and paste them on the components and parts.

• Support and participate in company continuous improvement program.
