Job summary

Sushi Express Group Pte Ltd is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Executive to lead sourcing, procurement, and inventory management. You will optimize supplier relationships, streamline operations, and drive cost-effective purchasing strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include managing the full purchasing cycle, vendor performance, logistics coordination, food safety compliance, and regular reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication and contract management skills.
• A team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrates integrity and business ethics in sourcing decisions.
• Proven track record in driving purchasing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire purchasing cycle including sourcing, quotations, pricing and purchase orders.
• Maintain procurement records in the internal system.
• Monitor vendor performance and service levels for quality and cost.
• Develop strong supplier relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate inventory and logistics with Operations for optimal stock and turnover.
• Handle import/export documentation and ensure smooth logistics.
• Input invoice data into the inventory system and reconcile records.
• Prepare reports on Purchasing, Sales and Month End Inventory.
• Coordinate daily deliveries with outlets and resolve quality issues.
• Manage warehouse activities including stock replenishment and counts.
• Organize food tasting sessions and assist in R&D workshops.
• Maintain product specifications, certifications (ISO, HACCP) and regulatory docs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and industry standards.
• Liaise with Norway suppliers during 21:30–23:30 SGT.
• Complete monthly closing reports 1st–5th of each month.
• Respond to urgent queries outside working hours when needed.
• Assist with other tasks and projects requested by the Purchasing Manager.
