Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Purchasing professional to ensure continuity of supply by analyzing material requirements and generating purchase orders aligned with production plans.

You will manage supplier relationships, drive improvements, and oversee SAP-based purchasing workflows while ensuring compliance with ISO quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex supply issues.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on SAP experience with ERP/MRP concepts.
• Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments (ISO 13485 advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse material requirements based on production plans and MRP requirements to ensure continuity of supply.
• Generate Purchase Orders and manage scheduling and rescheduling of materials according to manufacturing requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, proactively identify potential supply risks and resolve material availability issues.
• Develop and implement improvement plans for underperforming suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
• Drive supply chain system and process improvements while ensuring purchasing and material data integrity.
• Manage purchasing workflows within SAP and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve system and invoice discrepancies.
• Review and resolve supplier-related NCRs and drive initiatives to reduce recurring quality issues.
• Participate in supplier audits and prepare relevant audit reports.
• Manage purchasing specification changes and initiate required document change activities.
• Represent Purchasing in cross-functional projects involving new product development and product transfers.
• Ensure purchasing processes comply with applicable SOX, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements.
